"Brother, can you spare a paradigm?"
- Paul Hawken

"The call of this era, for me, is - bring it on! Bring your gifts to the table, and let them shine. We need all the light, the fierce light, we can muster. We need the vision, the energy, the enthusiasm of each and every one of us. Now is the time. We need to bring our full individualism, in all its quirks and uniqueness, out so that we can have the rich diversity we need to solve all the multiple converging crises of this era. And we need to harmonize, to work together, to bring this collective energy into focus, so that we can have tangible, real world results."
- Velcrow Ripper, from Occupy Love

Hello Friends!
I had a dream while on retreat in Colorado last week and upon awakening wrote: “We come alive when we’re singled out - by name – with what’s ours – and match to that … until then, grey, fog, sameness, boring.”  Could something so simple as being our unique quirky selves be what changes the world?

Well, this is exactly what is enlivening me these days … becoming open and alert to all that is creatively breaking through the fog – in me, in others, in the world … I’d love to know what’s coming alive in you!

Check out these 4 great opportunities for tuning in to what’s ours:

Personal Attunement Sessions
Attunement sessions wonderfully facilitate that art of tuning in to the energy of Life that’s already in and around us and then letting that vibration and power creatively expand through us and out into the world.  YUM.  A purifying, energizing process that’s natural to reclaiming our own innate beautiful Self-expression! Sessions are available in my Sanctuary space in Conway as well as long-distance and scheduled by phone or email.  I welcome these times together.

Eclipse Trips: During the Solar Eclipse on Sunday, May 20
We’re headed to Woolly Hollow State Park for this one!  This eclipse will be visible in many parts of the world and we may get a partial experience of it here in Arkansas … yet whether we see it or not, the particular energies of the moon and the sun crossing do reach us on this shared planet!  So we’ll enjoy exploring at this May “Playshop” just what is falling out of view and what is now ready for new light and new beginnings.

Feeling apprehensive about the idea of a Playshop?  Jim and I have offered two of them so far, afternoons of art and rhythm and music, opening us all to unexpected gifts … here’s what a reluctant participant shared with us afterward: “I was apprehensive as I am not a person prone to “play,” but found you and Jim amazingly easy to be relaxed around and share more openly with …  not being a very creative/artsy person I was concerned about being forced into doing something I would be embarrassed doing but you both just sort of eased into the different activities with such ease that without even too much panic I was actively participating and enjoying myself.  It was a refreshing way to spend an afternoon, discovering more about myself and both of you...you have a spirit that invites openness, freedom, growth and goodness. You accept and encourage a cautious soul to let down the defenses enough to laugh and play.”

So, Woolly Hollow State Park – Sunday, May 20, 3:00-7:00 pm, meeting at the parking lot near the beach and snack bar at 3 pm.  Kindly RSVP by Thursday, May 17.  We’ll likely be going early and staying late!  Will be glad to help arrange carpools, as desired.  More info upon registering … would love to hear from you!  $25, includes a healthy picnic.  Preregistration available here.

Roccupy 2.0: Saturday, May 12, 3-9 pm at Simon Park in Conway - Music, Food & Information Sharing
The Occupy movement is one way the impulse of this new era is showing itself! It seems to me to be a major outlet for the dreams and frustrations of the Big Change that is upon us.  Occupy Conway is a diverse group of folks who are presenting their second community concert and educational event called Roccupy – come on by Simon Park this Saturday for the good music (The Boomers start us off at 3, followed by a stellar lineup til 9!), good food (The Green Cart Deli is catering!) and lots of interesting info.  I’ll have a booth on Unity in Diversity and would love to see you there ~

*UPDATE: I was glad to have the chance to communicate a bit about the dynamics of Centered Heart Presence at this event.  The concert and educational event that Occupy Conway hosted came together well.  Kind thanks to all who came or contributed or wished us well!  Even though attendance at the event was low, 6 different musical groups joyfully offered their gifts and 6 different booths creatively shared information.  Those who came often expressed something like, “I’m really glad you’re still here.  Thank you for doing this.  This is important stuff.”

Whether we are in physical attendance for events that resonate with us or contribute our loving intention from wherever we are, the dynamics of what we are a part of goes out widely and affects the Whole.

Occupy as One: Community Group Meditation Tuesdays 12:30-1:00 at Conway District Court, 810 Parkway Street
We’ve been meeting weekly since January, “occupying” this public place simply to enter into the stillness of expansive silence together … opening to a deepening peace … breathing that higher harmony deeper in and further out … please know this silent gathering for “change from the inside out” is happening and join in with us, in person or in spirit … it’s all One!

Blessings, Gratitude, Aliveness ~

Here is a photo of our weekly Community Group Meditation that happens every Tuesday in our local District Court building.  We were surprised that a photographer showed up and even more surprised to see this photo appear the next day on the front page of the local paper!

The photo was titled, "Occupation Meditation" and the caption underneath read: Locals occupied District Court Tuesday for Occupy Conway's community meditation.  The meditation session takes place each Tuesday from 12:30-1 p.m.  COURTNEY SPRADLIN PHOTO

I welcome all the ways that this simple practice has been welcomed, encouraged, and publicized.  Tuning in together and letting the Love radiate ... it's an important occupation!  Thanks to all who feel the call ~~ and join in in person or at a distance ~~ the circle grows ~~~*

This past week I had the opportunity to share in a letter the connection I feel between our community group meditations and the Occupy movement.  I’d like to share some of what I wrote with you and would so welcome your insights about this too.

“The vision of a core of people gathering in public space, aligning with their own center and coming into One resonance came to me in my own meditation late last year.  I had been moved by what the Occupy movement was bringing into public consciousness – that it is time to come together and wake up to the fundamental injustices of our system and make new choices that enhance all of life.  Days later, Conway Mayor Tab Townsell stopped me on the street wanting to talk.  I ended up sharing my vision and he supported it and within a day we had unprecedented permission to hold group meditation at District Court.

Though I have been appreciative of the impulse and dedication of the Occupy movement to raise awareness and stimulate change, I never was comfortable with the divisiveness that seemed inherent in the “99% vs. 1%” …. I kept thinking no, it has to be 100%, we’re all in this together.  The “Occupy as One” vision that came to me seemed to bring all of that together.  We occupy public space with the intention of being One together.

So far, the other meditators that have been coming have been friends and acquaintances who know me and share the conviction that this is ultimately how we effect change for the better - that shifting consciousness is central to the transformation at hand.  Interestingly, many don’t quite see how meditation fits in with Occupying … and I’m sure many are wondering how Occupying fits in with meditation!  Of course, when we enter that sacred stillness together, there is no concern for labels or ideologies or percentages ~~~ no purpose other than to BE, to open, to trust, to let Love radiate ~~~ “

Thank you for envisioning our essential Oneness with me!  And for contributing to this Great Shift in our awareness that’s vital to the evolutionary leap at hand, my friends.  Again, your thoughts on this would be so welcome.

Every Tuesday a group of us gathers to meditate from 12:30 to 1:00 pm at District Court, 810 Parkway in downtown Conway, Arkansas.  Please consider joining in and inviting others as you feel led, in person or in spirit.  It all matters*

With loving thanks,
Pamela

March Forth Playshop with the Mosleys

We’ve been asked … “Where can I find some like-minded people around here? What’s up with these rumblings of something big and new coming? Who else likes to explore where this new energy could be taking us? How do you tune in to your own wisdom and intuition? I might be ready to leave some things behind … but … where do I go from here?? “

Well, we asked ourselves those questions and here’s what we got …

“There are others like you all around! Focused group energy stimulates new thought and important insights. Invite others over for a creative afternoon adventure … in a safe and easy atmosphere … to discover and respond to whatever is jostling around inside and out. Many circles around the world are doing this … it’s time! Make room for the inner knowing to come forth and lead the way and have FUN doing it!”

SO ~~~ this is your invitation to the first of a series of “Places and Spaces Playshops” … and discover what’s ready to March Forth!

Jim and I look forward to this new series of adventures, in co-creation with like-hearted explorers who answer the call to come over for some serious fun. We gladly provide the physical place and spiritual space to let our inward journeys more deeply bless and inform our daily lives.

Bring your Self on over for an artsy, energetic, meditative, co-creative holy good time!

Drumming, dancing, life romancing … a liberating afternoon of letting the flow lift us, drift us, gift us ~~~**~~~ giving our spirits space to move n groove … letting out what’s already there and ready to lead forthwith!
